This Privacy Policy explains how Headband Movers ("Headband Movers," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares your personal information. Your information matters to you, so it matters to us. We collect what we need to quote and run your move, we don't sell it, and you can ask us to delete it. By using headband.biz, you agree to the practices described here.

Personal Information We Collect

"Personal information" means information that identifies you, or could reasonably be linked to you. Depending on how you work with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details, like your name, phone number, email address, and your current and new addresses

  • Move details, like your move date, inventory, photos or video from a virtual walkthrough, building access notes, elevator reservations, and COI requirements

  • Transaction records, like quotes, bookings, services purchased, discounts applied, and payment history (card numbers are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us)

  • Location information, like the addresses of your move and approximate location based on your IP address

  • Website activity, like pages you visit, how you got to our site, and how you use the quote form

Where We Get Your Information

Directly from you. Most of what we have comes from you: our quote form, calls, texts, emails, virtual walkthroughs, and conversations with your crew on move day.

Automatically, when you visit our website. Our website tools collect technical information like your browser type, device type, IP address, and pages visited. We use cookies and similar tools to do this. See "What About Cookies?" below.

From referral partners and platforms. If a realtor, property manager, or senior living community refers you, or you contact us through Google, Yelp, Thumbtack, or Nextdoor, we receive the details you or they provided so we can follow up. We don't buy customer lists or leads.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Quote, schedule, and complete your move

  • Plan the right crew, truck, and equipment

  • Send your COI to your building or HOA when you ask us to

  • Contact you before and on move day, including arrival updates from your crew lead

  • Process payment, apply discounts, and handle damage claims

  • Ask for a review after your move

  • Send occasional offers about our own services, if you've agreed to receive them

  • Understand how people use our website so we can improve it

  • Prevent fraud and protect our customers, crew, and business

  • Meet our legal, licensing, and insurance obligations

  • Do anything else we told you about when we collected the information

How We Share Your Information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other companies for their own marketing. We're a moving company, not a broker, so your information doesn't get passed to another mover. We share it only in these situations:

Service providers. We use outside tools and companies to run the business, like our website host, scheduling and CRM software, payment processor, email and text tools, and analytics. They can only use your information to do work for us.

Your building, HOA, or property manager. When you ask us to issue a COI or coordinate move access.

Our insurer. If there's a damage claim or incident on a move.

Referral partners. If a partner referred you, we may confirm to them that you booked. We won't share details of your move beyond that without your permission.

Legal requirements. When we reasonably believe the law, a court order, a regulator like the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, or a legal process requires it.

Protecting people and property. When needed to prevent fraud, enforce our agreements, or protect the safety of our customers, crew, or others.

Business transfers. If Headband Movers is sold, merged, or acquired, customer information may be part of that transfer. The new owner would have to honor this policy.

With your consent. Anytime you ask us to, or agree to it.

What About Cookies?

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. They help the site remember things, like what you've already typed into a form, and help us see which pages are useful.

We use Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how people use headband.biz and to measure our advertising. Google Analytics sends information about your visit, including your IP address, to Google, which uses it to create reports for us. Google's handling of that data is covered by Google's own privacy policy.

Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can change your settings to block cookies or alert you when they're used. The site will still work, but some features, like the quote form, may not work as smoothly. To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Communication Preferences

When you give us your contact information, you agree that we can contact you by email, phone, and text about your quote and your move. You agree that notices and documents we send electronically, like estimates and confirmations, count as being "in writing." Save copies for your records.

Email. You can opt out of marketing emails anytime with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. We'll still send emails about moves you've booked.

Calls and texts. When you give us your phone number, you agree to receive calls and texts from Headband Movers about your quote and move, including scheduling, arrival times, and follow-ups. We only send marketing texts if you've separately agreed to receive them.

Reply STOP to any text to opt out. We may send one message confirming you've been unsubscribed. Reply HELP for help, or call 720-884-6425. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties for their marketing.

Security and Retention

We protect your information with secure payment processing, limited access for the people and tools that need it, and two-factor authentication on our accounts. No system is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee the security of information sent to us. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as required by Colorado law.

We keep your information as long as we need it to run your move, handle claims, and meet tax, licensing, and legal record-keeping requirements. After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Colorado Privacy Act, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we have your personal information and get a copy of it

  • Know what categories of information we collect, where it came from, and who we share it with

  • Correct information that's wrong

  • Delete your information, with some exceptions (like records we're legally required to keep)

  • Opt out of the sale of your information or its use for targeted advertising

  • Appeal if we deny your request

  • Use any of these rights without being treated differently

To make a request or appeal, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page. We'll verify who you are before acting on a request, and we'll only use the extra information to verify you. If someone makes a request on your behalf, we'll need written proof they're authorized. We'll respond within the time Colorado law requires.

Links to Other Sites

Our website links to other sites, like Google, Yelp, Instagram, and Facebook. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We're not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Children's Privacy

Our website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy was last updated on September 26, 2026. If we change it, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date. If a change is significant, we'll let customers know by email or with a notice on the site.
